EMEA channel partner program extended

Sourcefire : 13 October, 2009  (Company News)
SourceFire continues its thrust into the EMEA market with new channels opened in Eastern Europe and the Middle East
Sourcefire has announced the addition of twelve new channel partners in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Benelux and the Nordics.

Sourcefire has also appointed two new regional managers to support its new channel partners in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. "Expanding in these markets is an exciting and progressive milestone for Sourcefire. Directing additional resources to these regions is a natural development for the company," says Anthony Perridge, EMEA Channel Director for Sourcefire.

"The new signings enhance our partner portfolio. In addition to these new partners, we are continuing our focus on other key areas of Europe such as the UK, France and Germany. Our recent activity in these growth regions is part of our strategic map for the future ensuring we always provide local assistance for our products. Sourcefire has also increased the availability of its instructor-led training courses for both its 3D System and Snort technologies across Europe in order to support our European customer base."

Computerlinks is a new distributor for Sourcefire in Finland and the Baltics. Jukka Lahdelma, Managing Director for Computerlinks Finland, comments on their new relationship with Sourcefire.

"The need for a portfolio of purpose-built intelligent appliances continues to rise and we want to offer our customers the best of breed and Sourcefire was the obvious choice. We want to help our customers implement cost efficient solutions to fit their needs using proven market leading systems. Sourcefire offers an unrivalled support network to allow us to service business needs. We looked into other IPS vendors but at every stage Sourcefire stood out," says Lahdelma.

"The channel is a significant part of Sourcefire's growth strategy," adds Anthony Perridge. "We continue to transact nearly 100% of our EMEA business through the channel which shows how important our partners are to us. This is crucial to Sourcefire and demonstrates the strength of our relationship with our channel partners."

Sourcefire's new partners are Real Security (Slovenia), Information Systems Security Partners (Ukraine), World IT Systems (Poland), Rainbow Technologies (Russia), and Provision (Romania). In the Netherlands Sourcefire has joined up with Musmato and in the Nordics Sourcefire's new Channel Partners are Cygate (Finland), CSIS (Denmark), Computerlinks (Finland and the Baltics), Ezenta (Denmark) and Redpill Linpro (Norway). The new Channel Partner for the Middle East is Multipoint (Israel).
