Videx announces a powerful and easy-to-manage access control solution for medical drug cabinets. For hospitals, long-term care facilities, medical clinics, and emergency services that are experiencing problems securing their pharmaceuticals, CyberLock is the answer. CyberLock quickly brings electronic access control and accountability to drug cabinets simply by removing the mechanical cylinder inside an existing cabinet lock and replacing it with a CyberLock electronic cylinder. No wiring is required for installation.

With CyberLock, medical facilities will gain key control and the ability to restrict and audit traffic to pharmaceutical cabinets throughout their departments. An administrator can track access to sensitive areas because both the electronic lock and key audit lock and key activity. It is this detailed audit reporting that makes the CyberLock system very powerful. The CyberLock system helps to deter incidents of unauthorized entry while providing audit reports of openings and exceptions such as unauthorized attempts to gain access.

The system includes the CyberLock electronic cylinder that has no keyway to pick and the electronic key that cannot be duplicated. Each authorized user's key can be programmed to access selected locks on specific days and only during certain times on those days. With CyberLock, the inconvenience and expense of re-keying is eliminated because a "lost" key can be quickly blocked from the system and keys can be set with a date to begin operation as well as an expiration date.
