Door supervisor training award launched by BII

BII (British Institute Of Innkeeping) : 16 July, 2008  (Company News)
The British Institute of Innkeeping is calling for nominations for its award for the best training company relating to Door Supervisors.
Do you train door supervisors? Do you think your training is the best of the best? Then it's time to stand up and be counted! BII, the professional body for the licensed retail sector, has just announced a call for entries to the 2008 BII NITAs; the most prestigious recognition of training excellence available to the licensed retail industry - in all its dimensions.

The door supervision industry has been raising its game in recent years and, in keeping with the increasingly professional nature of the sector, BII is looking for evidence of training best practice. The category of Door Supervisor Training Award, sponsored by BIIAB and City & Guilds, is hotly contested so don't miss out on this opportunity to receive the recognition you deserve at a national level.

Last year's winner was NALDS Training in Braintree, Essex, commended by the judges for displaying clear evidence of an enthusiastic and reflective approach to planning, monitoring and adapting the training provision in the light of experience.

The BII NITAs, run in association with The Publican magazine, were created to reward success achieved through effective training and development and winning award is seen as an opportunity to create real competitive advantage for both individuals and organisations. The entry process is simple and submissions for the Door Supervisor Training Award are welcomed from individual door supervision trainers as well as companies.

BII marketing director Sue Medhurst commented: "Entering the BII NITAs is a superb opportunity for businesses and individuals to basically receive free consultancy on their training. The judging process for the NITAs is among the most rigorous in Britain and the independent panel of judges features some of the most influential and well respected names in the industry. Each entrant is given personal and confidential feedback from the judges on their entry."

All entries are judged on their own merits irrespective of the size of the organisation or the number of people being trained. Entrants do not have to be members of BII.

The deadline for entries is 5pm on Monday 1st September 2008. For more information, please contact the BII or see its web site.
