Discreet fixed mini dome camera with robust design
Optelecom-NKF announces the release of a new camera as part of the Siqura surveillance solution - the Siqura FD27. The camera is made to blend in and is discreet, yet robust in design.

With dimensions of just 4.2 inch (11cm) in diameter and 1.9 inch (4.7cm) in height, the Siqura FD27 goes unnoticed while still providing high quality video for any surveillance centre. The 1.3 megapixel, light-sensitive chip ensures detailed pictures, even in dim conditions, and the backlight compensation feature keeps critical areas of the image clearly displayed. Additionally, the high frame rates and dual streaming of MPEG-4 and MJPEG provide flexible live monitoring and recording options. Built for a wide array of uses, the FD27 features a built-in microphone.

The camera has a rugged design and features a tampering alarm which alerts the operator if the camera is covered or moved. The camera also features a privacy mask option for sensitive areas, such as ATM keypads or cash registers.

"These cameras are highly suitable for commercial buildings, schools and retail environments. The rugged yet aesthetic design, along with the high-image quality and ease of installation, make these cameras a very cost-efficient solution." - Bob Germain, Product Line Manager Cameras at Optelecom-NKF.

The FD27 camera is powered over Ethernet (PoE), facilitating an easy and low-cost installation.

The FD27 is part of Siqura, a complete collection of video surveillance equipment and solutions. Siqura offers video codecs/servers, IP cameras, video management, network storage, and configuration software.
