Dial-In Access Control With GSM Intercom

Videx Security : 16 December, 2010  (New Product)
Videx Security has released a GSM Intercom that enables alternative number dialling as well as a "dial-in to open" facility
Videx Security's popular 4000 Series functional GSM intercom system now has the capability to connect to up to 50 call buttons. Following in the success of the first generation, the new GSM employs quad band technology for use anywhere in the world. It also includes a USB interface for PC programming and can be used with the vast range of 4000 Series modules available including coded keypads, proximity readers and information modules.

The GSM intercom is self contained and to operate only requires an external 12-15Vdc power supply unit and an antenna. Each call button has the facility to call up to two telephone numbers, if the first is busy or not answered, the call will automatically divert to the second.

Additional features include a "dial-in to open" facility. This allows up to 250 callers whose telephone number has been stored to dial the intercom and release the door/gate without incurring a charge. Push to exit button, auxiliary button inputs and auxiliary outputs and a text alert, which is triggerable via an auxiliary input, are also featured together with balance check and signal strength check facilities.

Programming of the GSM can be carried out either via SMS text message or a specially designed PC program using the built in USB port.
