Database Activity Monitoring Tool for Russian Customs Service

DbProtect from Application Security has been deployed by Russia's Federal Customs Service for intrusion detection and database activity monitoring for the protection of confidential data
Application Security, a provider of database security, risk and compliance solutions (SRC) for the enterprise, has announced that the Federal Customs Service for Russia has deployed DbProtect across its enterprise database environment for audit and threat management. Using DbProtect the Federal Customs Service has deployed intrusion detection services (IDS) and database activity monitoring (DAM) across their entire database infrastructure and is now able to produce enterprise wide analytics through a centralized management console.


"Our focus is on protecting our confidential data, complying with global compliance regulations and implementing database security standards," said Sergey Anikin, chief of information security, North Western Customs Directorate, Federal Customs Service for Russia. "DbProtect's architecture allows us to centralize our scanning and monitoring initiatives and streamline our audit and threat management process. We've scaled up our deployment of database monitoring sensors to increase our overall database security, risk and compliance efficiency."
