Daon contribution to Biometric Enterprise System

Daon : 06 February, 2009  (Application Story)
The DaonEngine biometric infrastructure product with Finger, Face and Iris snap-ins supplied to SAIC for use on the National Biometric Enterprise system
Daon has successfully provided biometric software and services to Science Applications International (SAIC) to help with the ongoing implementation of National Biometric Enterprise Systems using finger, face and iris biometrics.

The system is an integrated identity management infrastructure that collects and verifies fingerprint, iris, and facial biometric information. Daon provides products including their core biometric infrastructure product, DaonEngine, and Finger, Face and Iris Biometric Snap-In interfaces to leading biometric matching algorithms. These components act as the identity hub, brokering between the distributed end-user workstations and the back-end biometric systems.

"We are proud to work with SAIC in the ongoing implementation of a biometric enterprise system. The ability to positively identify individuals is key to safety and security strategies," commented Tom Grissen, CEO of, Daon. "Daon is leading the way in providing a sophisticated suite of biometric products and services to help our customers identify and manage individuals as they interact with multiple government agencies," added Grissen.

"Daon was selected to be part of our team because their products integrate multiple biometric modalities from virtually all of the suppliers of biometric devices and algorithms," commented John Horn, Assistant Vice President from SAIC. "We look forward to working with them to provide the best value to our customers."
