Coventry door staff audited

Security Industry Authority : 31 July, 2009  (Company News)
The SIA and West Midlands Police found most city centre door staff in Coventry to be licensed
Random Friday night checks on the 24th July in Coventry city centre pub and clubs found the majority of door staff complying with the law.

Investigators from the Security Industry Authority and officers from West Midlands Police checked 33 security operatives; only one door supervisor was given a warning for not displaying their licence.

Paul Cartlidge, an SIA Head of Investigation, said: "The majority of door staff checked held valid SIA Door Supervisor licences and this demonstrates to the police and the public that the operatives working in the area are trained, qualified and fit for their role.'
