Corestreet VP to speak on smart card implementation for border control.

At the Milan ID World Congress, Corestreet's vice president will make a presentation on the use of smart cards for national security and maintaining national border integrity.
CoreStreet Executive Vice President Salvatore D'Agostino will speak at the ID World International Congress in Milan on November 27th. D'Agostino is a widely recognised industry expert in the area of advanced credential systems, having worked closely with governments and industry associations around the world to further the acceptance of smart credentials. In his role, D'Agostino frequently speaks regarding the growing importance of building large-scale government programs that benefit both government and citizen.


In this presentation on 'Border Control and National Security,' D'Agostino will share his first hand experience in implementing smart cards for a variety of national security applications. The presentation will also include legislative updates and developments in the push for the use of smart cards in identity programs, a look at creating secure credentials from trusted sources and technologies and policies for authenticating secure credentials.


The presentation will highlight CoreStreet's experiences in Europe and the Middle East with national identity card programs as well as in the U.S. with Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards issued in accordance with the Federal Information Processing Standard 201 (FIPS-201) resulting from the Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12).
