Continued record profits for software licensing experts

Shrewd decisions and major healthcare and Defence sector wins takes Trustmarque Solutions profits to record levels
Trustmarque Solutions has turned in a record profit performance. The software licensing experts has announced that for the year ended August 31, 2008, their turnover grew from £111.8 million to £116.8 million, with profits rising to £4.68 million - the highest in Trustmarque's history.

As their previous reporting performance, 2006/2007 was over a 14-month period, Trustmarque's 12-month adjusted turnover for last year actually grew by 22 per cent. Similarly, the like for like profit grew by over 30 per cent as the company increased efficiency and expanded its staff and customer base.

Welcoming the figures, Paul Ferguson, Finance Director for Trustmarque said: "These results are extremely positive and reflect the ability of Trustmarque to win business and continue growing in a difficult economic climate. This puts us in a strong financial position and will allow us to achieve further growth in the coming 12 months."

Trustmarque Solutions has intensified its recruitment drive over the past 12 months, and now has over 100 employees - an increase of over 10 per cent. The company has also achieved some notable new business wins. They include:

• A three-year contract to supply encrypted and non-encrypted hardware and software to the Ministry of Defence.
• A £4 million contract from security vendor McAfee to supply anti-virus software.
• Partnering McAfee to secure the NHS Connecting for Health (CFH) - a 700,000 seat tender.

"For example, we can now offer a comprehensive software audit for clients who realise the potential damage in being caught out by fines or unexpected licensing expenditure.

"Businesses must have the ability to manage their licence life cycle efficiently. We now give customers a value added service that can deliver real cost benefits to the bottom line - the key differentiator that will help us to grow in these times of economic uncertainty."
