Container security addressed by GateKeeper development.

GateKeeper USA : 29 January, 2008  (Company News)
Gatekeeper signs agreement to work with Container Security Logistics to develop and manufacture automatic container monitoring product.
GateKeeper has executed an Exclusive Development & Licensing Agreement with Container Security Logistics. GateKeeper had issued a "Request for Proposal" (RFP) for technology that is non RFID dependant, not "Current Off the Shelf" and above existing "State of the Art" technology that GateKeeper feels is necessary to successfully address the container security issue. The container security market has been described as "still in its infancy since there has been scant progress on industry-wide technical standards and effective government mandates", according to an ABI research report released in Q-4 2007. CSL, was the successful respondent to the RFP and a contract has been finalised.

CSL will aggressively and immediately develop and accelerate the manufacturing process of GateKeeper's Container Automated Monitoring System (CAMS). CSL anticipates that it will be shipping the first devices within the very near future. GateKeeper USA shall have the Exclusive worldwide rights to sell, market and distribute all present and future generations of CAMS devices manufactured by CSL. GateKeeper USA will begin marketing the CAMS devices, initially, to countries included in the Container Security Initiative (CSI).

The CAMS devices are in response to, and designed to meet and exceed specifications under, the Container Security Initiative (CSI) guidelines. Subsequent generations of the CAMS devices are also included in the development and are expected to be tested and be available as early as Q4 2008.
All generations of the CAMS device are available in overt and covert configurations.

"We are very pleased to be working with CSL. They have a world class team of experts and we are extremely confident that they will meet and exceed all of our expectations," stated James Wishart, Chairman and CEO of GateKeeper.
