Compliance screening seminar to be held by Datanomic

Datanomic : 10 September, 2009  (Company News)
Datanomic is holding a free short seminar at Lloyd's of London on industry challenges for compliance screening
Data Management and Compliance Screening specialist, Datanomic, is hosting an executive briefing that will look in detail at the sanctions screening requirements for the insurance industry and how dn:Director for Sanctions & PEP Screening provides a powerful, configurable and easy-to-use solution to ensure legislative compliance.

The short seminar, which will be held from 3:00-5:00pm (followed by a networking drinks reception) on Thursday 24 September 2009 at The Old Library, Lloyd's of London, is aimed at Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs), Compliance Officers and any others responsible for ensuring the organisation's compliance with the FSA's sanctions regime. The event will feature guest speaker, Andy Wragg, Senior Manager, Lloyd's International Regulatory Affairs, who will provide invaluable insight into how Lloyd's protects its organisation and its reputation by ensuring full compliance with the relevant regulations.

In addition, the seminar will cover the six core functional screening requirements for the insurance industry to ensure accurate and effective legislative compliance, including:

- Data preparation
- Flexible Screening Algorithms
- Case Management
- Configurable Workflow
- Audit Trail
- MI / Reporting

In its recent report entitled 'Financial Services firms' approach to UK financial sanctions', the Financial Services Authority's Financial Crime and Intelligence Division (FCID) identified many areas of concern within the insurance industry where either the compliance teams misunderstood the requirements of the FSA's sanctions regime, or had insufficient systems in place to ensure ongoing screening and complete compliance with the legislation.
