Co-operative partnership for live CCTV streaming to mobile phones.

Intellistream : 11 February, 2008  (Company News)
Intellistream and Pedagog partner to combine technologies to supply access to multiple CCTV surveillance cameras live from one mobile handset.
Intellistream and Pedagog, a leading supplier of technology to enable the broadcast of live personal video direct from CCTV cameras to mobile phones have announced an exclusive multi-year partnership. In the deal, Intellistream becomes Pedagog's exclusive strategic supplier of middleware for their next generation of 3G CCTV cameras.

The Intellistream system selected by Pedagog has many advantages. It is easy to use, customers can access multiple cameras from one device, and navigation has been designed to be simplicity itself. The video is viewed as it happens in high resolution quality. In addition to these benefits, it can be used by tens of thousands of cameras simultaneously - giving the system ultimate scalability.

The technology is based on the new 3G high speed networks, but continues to support 2G if network or handset limitations dictate. This scalability was one of the key factors in Pedagog's decision to select Intellistream. Another key factor was the high quality video images that the software delivers. This is a crucial element for Pedagog as their flexible technology will support a range of multimedia and mobile Web 2.0 applications including social networking and entertainment in addition to their core security and surveillance applications.

Jim Beagle, CEO of Intellistream says: "We are absolutely delighted to have been selected by Pedagog as their exclusive strategic partner. We believe the opportunities presented to the security industry of mobile 3G technology are very exciting, and have the capability to revolutionise the way we protect our property, businesses and homes. We're really looking forward to a long and productive relationship with the team at Pedagog."
