CMI Enters Distribution Agreement With BitDefender

BitDefender fill a hole in the UK reseller market by providing greater access to its products through local distributor, CMI
BitDefender has confirmed a new agreement with value added security distributor CMI. The deal will see CMI offering BitDefender's business solutions and security suites to its large reseller base and allow BitDefender to continue its strong growth in the UK market.

The agreement is designed to allow partners to benefit from lead generation, technical support and renewal management to provide a level of support and opportunity for resellers currently lacking from the UK channel. Focused mainly in the SMB market, CMI's existing partner base coupled with BitDefender's forthcoming lead generation and partner network programs will provide the perfect opportunity for partners to grow their businesses alongside BitDefender.

Simon Geach, BitDefender Sales Director for UK and Ireland, commented, "We're delighted to conclude a new agreement with CMI. They have the partner base we want to reach out to and support and they have the value added skills and commitment to help us take our sales with our partners in the business market to the next level."

Adam Trussler, Sales Director at CMI said, "BitDefender's product quality and technology, combined with their commitment to channel partners, makes them a natural choice for CMI. We're sure that we will see strong growth of BitDefender sales in 2011."

Geach continued, "CMI have been an important element of why we have bucked the recession trend and posted significant year-on-year growth in 2010. What is especially pleasing is that there is increasing recognition amongst IT distributors and resellers that this is the time for change and working with larger security vendors is not the best route for growing their business and not necessarily the best solution for their customers either."
