Client gateware for managed security providers.

Clavister : 21 May, 2007  (New Product)
Clavister's Security Gateway 10 is designed to be used by hosted security providers on client premises.
Clavister has announced its Clavister Security Gateway 10 Series, intended to be used as a Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) device in Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) scenarios. The solution is destined to set a new standard in terms of minimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and rapid Return of Investment (ROI) for Service Providers who wish to provision security as a service to their customers.

The solution is based on the Clavister Security Service Platform (SSP) comprised of network devices, management and reporting systems, as well as a comprehensive set of lifecycle services.

The Clavister Security Gateway 10 Series is a key component in the complete Clavister offering of security devices, enabling Service Providers to increase the Average Revenue Per Subscriber (ARPU).

'This will enable Service Provider to sell new and attractive services to their customers with minimal investment and operational costs,' says Mr Andreas Ã…sander, Vice President Product Management Clavister.

The SG10 Series runs the high-performance and robust Security OS, the Clavister CorePlus, the same high-end systems used by tier-one telecom operators, only adapted to a different hardware platform for the specific requirements of a CPE device. Thanks to the unique Security OS, which requires minimal maintenance and that the SG10 Series comes with a centralized management system included, deployment and operations are made easy and cost efficient.

Additional benefits with the SG10 Series is the ability to run the integrated antivirus scan engine, support for Clavister InSight Reporting and it includes the Web Content Filtering Solution, as well as the highly advanced Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP) system.

'Not only can Service Providers provision managed firewall and VPN solutions, but they can also offer additional up-sales services based on these functionalities,' says Mr Asander.

'The fact that the SG10 Series provide such a wide range of security features within such a small and cost effective package makes it outperform the competition in this solution space.'

The SG 10 Series eliminate the need for Service Providers to compromise during their selection of security solutions for small and remote-offices. Often forced to choose between typical consumer-type products that lack features and manageability or more expensive solutions with capabilities they do not need.
