City awards technology recycling company

Electronic Recyclers International : 03 July, 2008  (Company News)
Los Angeles recognises the work of computer equipment recycling operator, Electronic Recyclers International
Electronic Recyclers International (ERI) has announced that their Chief Compliance Officer and co-founder Aaron Blum has received an award of commendation from the City Of Los Angeles for contributions to the City's recycling efforts.

The award, presented by Karen Higgins, Manager for the City Facilities Program in Los Angeles; and Melody McCormick, Chief of the Facilities Management Division for Los Angeles, recognized Blum and ERI for "outstanding and dedicated efforts in assisting the City Facilities Recycling Program of Los Angeles."

"It's a tremendous honour for us to have Aaron and ERI honoured by the great City of Los Angeles," said ERI Chairman and CEO John Shegerian. "Our work to serve LA's forward thinking electronics recycling effort is a privilege to perform. We are proud to be associated with the City of Los Angeles, a city that is working to set an example for the rest of the nation regarding the importance of properly recycling unwanted electronics, and we are proud of Aaron's work there to assist in getting the job done."

As well as his work with the City of Los Angeles on behalf of ERI, Blum directly manages a number of ERI's premier accounts, including 24 Hour Fitness' national electronic recycling efforts, Waste Management, the County of Santa Barbara, and multiple Goodwill Locations (including Long Beach, Santa Barbara and Ventura). He has also led the way in bringing ERI business from some of the largest HHW companies in the nation, such as Philip Services Corporation and Clean Harbours Environmental Services.
