Channel Partner Program Launched to Support EMEA Market

Webroot is now providing its European Channel partners with further support for the company's Internet Security Essentials and AntiVirus with Spy Sweeper in a boost to increase sales in the region
Webroot has announced the expansion of its EMEA Sales and Marketing team and launched a channel partner program for its award-winning Home and Small Office Internet security solutions, including Webroot Internet Security Essentials and Webroot AntiVirus with Spy Sweeper.

The fully integrated channel partner program is being launched as part of Webroot's commitment to helping partners increase their revenue, develop their expertise and improve their ability to support their customers' requirements. The program is aimed at supporting existing partners and providing an attractive business opportunity to prospective partners.

Additionally, Webroot is announcing a number of key appointments to support the company's planned consumer expansion across EMEA. Germaine Page has been appointed as EMEA Acquisition Marketing Manager, Tim Maynard has joined as UK & Ireland Sales Manager and William Lewis joins as EMEA Business Development Manager, effective immediately.

David Bennett, Director EMEA Consumer Business Development, said, "Our channel of resellers, independent retailers and etailers is extremely important to the success of the aggressive expansion plan Webroot has in place for EMEA. This new partner programme has been designed to provide our partners with the greatest of financial and practical support, as they strive to retain their place in a competitive market. Webroot's level of expertise and knowledge in the security arena will enable our partners to advise their customers on the best solutions for the home or small business user."

The Webroot Partner Program will include:

- A self-serve web portal which will allow partners to benefit quickly and simply from the sales and marketing tools on offer

- A revenue share scheme enabling partners to receive up to 25% of revenue renewal sales from their existing customers who renew their Webroot subscription

- Access to Market Development Funds

- Volume software discounts

Partners will also benefit from free local customer support, regular promotional campaigns and additional program features.

Bennett continued, "I am delighted to welcome Germaine, Tim and Will on board. They join at an extremely exciting time, as Webroot expands the outreach of its Home and Small Office security solutions across EMEA. With an expanded team in place, we are in a good position to significantly increase our sales and presence within EMEA over the next 12 months and achieve our goals of 1000 new partners in the UK by the end of 2010 with a 50/50 revenue split between glass front retail and the channel."
