Channel marketing brings success for Webroot

Internet security specialist company gains significant foothold in European market with its 100% approach to channel marketing
Webroot announces a strong increase in sales performance, signifying growing demand for Web and Email Security as a Service in EMEA.

Fuelled by the huge success of the company's award-winning 100% channel approach, its unrivalled partner program and a host of new and advanced Web and Email Security capabilities, the previous quarter proved to be the largest sales performance period for Webroot's EMEA Enterprise Business Unit.

Since joining in February, Mark Tickle, Managing Director of Webroot's EMEA Enterprise Business Unit, has attracted a number of highly experienced new recruits, leading to a 20% increase in staff across his senior management and commercial team. The company has also hired three new senior technical support staff with extensive Web and Email Security experience. These additions have allowed the Webroot to significantly extend its reach across the rapidly growing Web and Email Security SaaS market.

According to Tickle, "Our last quarter proved to be an extremely good one for Webroot's Enterprise Business Unit across EMEA, and new customer acquisition revenues increased by over 180% compared to the same period last year. It's no surprise that new business has been particularly strong, as we have seen a surge in demand for Web-based security solutions. Research has shown that 85% of malware is disseminated via the Internet, and threats are evolving to take full advantage of the Web.

Tickle explains, "For example, malware has recently been adapted to unknowingly target users of social networking sites, such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter - often accessed from business resources. With this in mind, Webroot is focused on providing advanced Web security solutions that offer easy-to-use, cost-effective, comprehensive and trustworthy protection against current and future threats."
Much of Webroot's success can be attributed to the company's thriving channel program. The Channel Edge Partner Program is a comprehensive program that offers partners an unrivalled line-up of comprehensive training tools, ROI-driven marketing materials, and superior technical and sales support.

Recently, Webroot signed a strategic partnership with managed security provider Network Box UK. The technological advances in Webroot's Web Security Service and Email Security Services this year have contributed to the Webroot's impressive growth in EMEA. Such enhancements include web browsing quotas to enforce Internet use policies and a new policy-based email encryption service to secure sensitive email communications.
