Cellular router with telemetry module

Digi International : 19 May, 2009  (New Product)
The WR41 multifunction cellular router from Sarian has been designed for the surveillance market for flexible video streaming from remote sites
Sarian Systems, a Digi International company, displayed its latest WR41 multifunction cellular router along with its Telemetry-1 add-in module specifically designed for the CCTV market at the IFSEC tradeshow in Birmingham.

The WR41 is a small, highly flexible router compatible with all current 3G mobile services. It has a number of optional interfaces including the Telemetery1, a high sensitivity GPS module and multiple serial ports.

With upload speeds of up 2Mb/s thanks to HSUPA technology, the WR41 is ideal for users streaming video from remote sites. GPRS and EDGE technology is also available for cost reduced network access utilising low data rate applications.

The availability of reliable mobile connections at broadband speeds allows users to use the WR41 to automatically backup their critical ADSL connections in the event of accidental or malicious loss of phone lines.

The WR41 has a number of applications, including for leased line/ADSL line backup, video surveillance, ATM machines, EPOS/Point of Sale Systems and Telemetry.

The Telemetry 1 add-in module for the WR41 range makes the WR-41 ideal for solar powered CCTV applications The module allows for remote power switching of CCTV cameras, auxiliary lighting and also provides remote monitoring of the solar battery voltage.
