Carbon Motors CEO introduces the Carbon E7 in Chicago
Carbon Motors has announced the kickoff to the 2008 Pure Justice Tour for the Carbon 'E7', the world's first purpose-built law enforcement vehicle in Chicago, Illinois including prepared remarks by William Santana Li, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Carbon Motors Corporation.

"Ladies and gentlemen - thank you. We are honoured to be here and we express our sincere gratitude to our supporters in the great state of Illinois that made today possible".

"You see the headlines every day and the lead stories on every news channel - homeland security; the energy crisis; the economic well being of America. These challenges are all top of mind for the nation. Yet there are plenty of opportunities in this seemingly dark time, and now is not the time for small plans. As our presidential candidates weigh avenues to address these issues, we at Carbon Motors Corporation (CMC) have invited you here today to introduce our part of the equation - our contribution. And we call on the entrepreneurs across this country to voice their solutions as well, and together, we will make our country what it was always intended to be… a place where freedom rings true".

"Now, we all made the journey to this event in Chicago today for a reason. For some, this is an exciting day to see a bold new car that rekindles the childhood dreams and stirs that passion within each of us to see the impossible made possible. For others, this is something more - a true symbol of a new day in America: an America with clarity of purpose to address the issues and challenges before us".

"For the team at Carbon Motors, today is the culminating moment of years of blood, sweat and tears in the making. A pure relentless drive propelled each of us to this point, against all of the odds, to make this a special day that we can share with all of you. We are honoured and privileged to have you stand here with us".
"It all started with one basic and simple question, "Why is it that fire departments have their own purpose-built fire trucks, emergency medical services have custom ambulances, the military has an entire fleet of vehicles designed from the ground up, and even your trash - yes, your garbage is removed using a special, purpose-built vehicle; yet somehow 7 years after 9/11 our country has over 800,000 women and men in uniform patrolling our communities in a vehicle designed in the 1970s as retail passenger car meant for Sunday drives with haphazardly and dangerously installed equipment?" Our country should never have allowed this to happen and it will not stand".

"For the officer on the south side of Chicago who was injured because of a poorly equipped squad car, it matters to us. For the mayors and city councils struggling in Michigan to meet a budget amidst surging fuel prices, it matters to us. For the fleet administrator in Georgia frustrated because it takes 9 months to get a police car out on patrol, it matters to us. For the chief of police in California attempting to recruit new officers and reduce turnover in his department, it matters to us. For the federal agent in DC that could not communicate with other officers during a crisis in Louisiana as a city drowned, it matters to us. When officers die in the line of duty, not because of a criminal action, but because our country has failed to provide them the appropriate equipment to patrol our homeland, it matters to us. It affects our communities, our livelihood, and it is a direct reflection of our competitiveness as a nation. These officers serve our country with honour and no different than a solider in a theatre of war, these brave women and men in uniform deserve world-class equipment and capabilities. Nothing less".

"Carbon Motors has a single, simple and powerful idea. The audacious act of building a new homeland security company that will produce the world's first purpose-built law enforcement patrol vehicle - a vehicle that will serve as an integrated homeland security platform for the country. This will enhance security capabilities for the nation's law enforcement first responders, while substantially lowering their current operating costs and lessening the burden on taxpayers nationwide. By taking this bold action, we will create 10,000 new direct and indirect American jobs and with the application of new technologies, cut the estimated 1.5 billion gallons of gasoline the nation's law enforcement fleet burns through every year by 40%".

"Right here and right now, it is our moment. We will rectify this injustice that has gone on for far, far too long. I am calling on every mayor, every city council member, every city manager, every governor, the US Department of Justice and the US Department of Homeland Security to unite in this effort. We have a national moral obligation to our first responders and we will not rest until this deed is done".

"The United States of America is the most powerful and innovative country in the world. We must attack the challenges ahead of us with the same level of American ingenuity and innovation that propelled us through the industrial revolution. We lit this nation with an electrical grid, we tied it together with the telephone lines, we laid rail from east to west and north to south, we established mass production, we put a man on the moon, and we once dominated the industrial landscape worldwide. Rest assured, we can once again".

"This is hard work. It's easy to say it can't be done. It is even easier to sit on the sidelines to wait and see what happens. Yet even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to deny this effort its rightful chance - the skeptic, the naysayer, those that have lost the fight in them. Well, I say to them today: this is not about us and them, this is not about Democrat, Republican, or Independent, this is not about dealers, unions, or legacy automakers. This is about your personal safety, the safety of your family and loved ones, and the pride of our nation".

"I ask you to stand with us and unite for a common cause. Demand that our First Responders be treated with the respect and dignity they have earned and deserve, and that they be given the tools to protect and secure our homeland. If you feel the same energy I do, the same sense of urgency, that same drive and passion, then I have absolutely no doubt that all across this great country of ours - we will unite and demand that this vehicle be built and serve faithfully for years to come in our communities across the nation".

"I would like to introduce to you and to our country's finest across this great land of ours, the world's first purpose-built law enforcement patrol vehicle, the 2012 Carbon 'E7'".
