Canadian Acceptance for Data Radio Modem

Raveon Technologies : 31 March, 2010  (New Product)
The VHF M7 modem from Raveon Technologies for radio telemetry and SCADA applications has been granted Industry Canada Certification
Canadian Acceptance for Data Radio Modem
Raveon Technologies announces its VHF M7 data radio modem has been granted Technical Acceptance by Industry Canada. (IC certificate: 8386A-RVM7VB) Raveon's new VHF band (150-174MHz) radio modem compliant with FCC parts 22 and 90 is also now available for sale in Canada. This new VHF M7 data radio modem is ideal for radio telemetry, SCADA, and AVL applications. The M7's transparent wireless protocol makes it plug-and-play in most applications. It features 5 watts of RF power output with an outstanding communication range of up to 60 miles. Its fast T-R switching time of 5mS is ideal for polled telemetry systems. Each unit may also be a store-and-forward repeater which will greatly increase radio coverage. Remote site management is made easy with built-in voltage, temperature, and current monitoring. An optional internal GPS makes it ideal for AVL and asset tracking systems(see www.ravtrack.com for AVL applications with the M7).

The M7 has a selectable RS232/422/485 interface which allows it to interface to almost any PLC, telemetry system, RTU, or other serial data device. It operates off of 10-16V DC input, and may be used in base-station or mobile applications. The M7 may be ordered with an IP65 weatherproof enclosure.

The new M7 VHF data radio modem compliments Raveon's popular M7 UHF series of Raveon wireless data modems, which is available in frequencies between 400-512Mhz.
