Call for entries to the Cyber Security Challenge of 2009

Global Security Challenge : 13 March, 2009  (New Product)
This year's Global Security Challenge is focussing on cyber security with entries now open for gaining cash support and mentoring
As the global cost of cyber crime soars, in some estimates as much as $1 trillion dollars, the GSC wants to find and support innovators in Information Assurance and Cyber Security.

We are looking for the world's most creative innovators and start-ups who have to respond to the mounting challenges in Cyber Security. We encourage researchers and small companies to apply for the Cyber Security Challenge 2009.

The three winners of this competition will gain cash prizes totalling £9,000 GBP, mentorship by market leaders and access to government officials and industry leaders at an exclusive event.

Who Should Apply?

All innovators in universities or SMEs that apply to Information Assurance and Cyber Security needs.

Our areas of interest include (but are not limited to): data protection, user authentication, penetration testing, network protection, spam-prevention, anti-malware, identification of data theft, detection of dormant threats on corporate servers, tackling of identity thefts on the internet, and defences for virtualized computing resources.

For further information and to apply to the Cyber Security Challenge 2009, please visit the Global Security Challenge website.

Entry is free. Apply before May 15, 2009.
