Business intelligence software for security image analysis

Avocado Security : 05 December, 2008  (New Product)
IT offering from Avocado security brings diverse security technologies together into coherent business intelligence package
Avocado Security, the developer of the world's first Security and Business Intelligence (BI) Optimisation Platform, automates the way you look at millions of security images by translating security camera images into meaningful data, statistics, graphs, charts and gauges. So now instead of just looking at 'dumb data' from a bunch of images across a variety video monitors, you can have 'intelligent information' about each of those images so that real-time security decisions can be made. Examples of this intelligent information include; the number of times someone entered the front door of your building, how often an elevator door was opened, why there is extra traffic at a particular entrance or exit, or, why is there is more traffic at the loading dock of your facility, than at the front entrance lobby.

Avocado Security's technology also addresses many other common frustrations inherent in managing large amounts of video footage. Some of these frustrations include cameras being pointed in the wrong direction; the production of fuzzy imaging and blobs in the video footage; or the disconnection/tampering of camera equipment. Avocado Security's technology can actually integrate security sensors, CCTV cameras and appliances, regardless of the brand, so that they work together to ensure business continuity and produce the maximum operation of security equipment. If equipment is misaligned, disconnected, or malfunctioning, Avocado Security's technology can instantly send alerts/notifications about the malfunction so that adjustments can be made almost immediately.

In previous years, most organizations' physical security and IT security have operated independently, and have been managed through separate departments. However, Avocado Security's Version 2.0 technology allows various departments to have a centralized point of access to intelligent data that is generated directly from their physical security equipment. With Avocado Security's platform, detailed security information about one location, or even multiple locations, can be shared across departments with managers and executives, providing them with ongoing information about the operational intelligence of their organisation.

CEOs can access information on how the entire organization is running, the Vice President of Marketing can verify why there is more traffic in a particular area of a store, and the Vice President of Sales can validate cash register (point of sale or POS) figures with security images to effectively understand how to up-sell the next product - turning security cameras into intelligence security devices as well as into 'money-making' machines.
