Brite-Strike sponsors police and public safety conference

Brite-Strike Technologies : 15 August, 2008  (Company News)
The American Psychological Association conference on police and public safety to be sponsored by flashlight manufacturer Brite-Strike
Brite-Strike Tactical Illumination Products will sponsor the forthcoming mini-conference of the Police & Public Safety Section of the American Psychological Association (APA).

The event will take place on August 13, 2008 at Boston Police Headquarters, located at One Schroeder Plaza, Boston, MA, 02120-2014 beginning at 7:45 a.m. EST.

“We are proud to sponsor Division 18: Police & Public Safety Section of the APA, which is approved to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Section members are full-time or consultant psychologists to police, fire, EMS and Emergency Management agencies predominately in the United States,” said Glenn Bushee, president of Brite-Strike. “We welcome the opportunity to discuss with this targeted community of esteemed professionals, the use of our company’s high-intensity LED light and strobe effect as a less-than-lethal option for law enforcement professionals.”

Designed by police officers, the company’s high-performance flashlights use cutting-edge Philips Lumileds Luxeon technology to produce 198 lumens of ultra-bright light that can disorient and temporarily impair the vision of an attacker.

Brite-Strike’s Tactical Blue-Dot Series is currently used by various government agencies, the military, SWAT teams and other law enforcement officials. Its patented Lightning Strike Personal Protection System thwarts potential attackers with a combination of a high-intensity flashing strobe light and a super loud ear piercing personal alarm, specifically designed for women, seniors, students and other private citizens seeking an easy-to-deploy personal protection system.
