Breach Security extends web protection into Europe.

Breach Security : 10 April, 2007  (Company News)
New London office and reseller agreements establishes Breach Security into the European market for internet protection and firewall products.
Breach Security has announced the company's further expansion into the European market with the opening of new offices in London and continued operations in Herzliya, Israel. The two offices support both sales and product development for the company's flagship web application firewall BreachGate WebDefend, ModSecurity Pro M1000, and the recently released ModSecurity open source version 2.0.

In addition, Breach Security has also announced new channel and distribution agreements with three European resellers: Comguard.cz, Dot Force, and ZION SECURITY to further increase both visibility and sales resources for Breach Security internationally.

'Breach Security products are increasingly being used by global organisations and our European presence lays the foundation to further extend the reach of our web application firewalls into these markets with the help of our new partners,' said Marc Shinbrood, CEO, Breach Security, Inc. 'Our aggressive expansion into the European market has presented exciting opportunities for both Breach Security and our resellers as we bring a new level of web application security and support to organisations in the region.'

Latvia-based JSC Norvik Banka recently deployed BreachGate WebDefend. Norvik Banka has more than 100 individual branches serving both consumer and corporate financial clients with banking services that include cash and settlement, lending and acceptance of deposits and safe deposit box rentals.

'As a financial institution with more than 100,000 customers, the security of our web applications is crucial for us to allow secure banking for our customers,' said Sergejs Kravchenko, IT Security Manager, JSC Norvik Banka. 'With BreachGate WebDefend we are able to detect and prevent attacks from hackers while maintaining full control of our web applications. We have successfully been able to manage our web applications, correct errors found in web sites, and sleep easy at night knowing everything is fully protected.'

To augment sales penetration within the expanding European market, Breach Security has increased its reseller channel with three strategic sales partners to address key geographical regions. Dot Force, which is based in Southern Europe, will cover sales processes throughout Italy, Spain and Portugal. ZION SECURITY, which is based in Belgium, will address the Western Europe economic union of Benelux, which is compromised of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. With the final new channel partner, Breach Security will work with Comguard.cz to cover sales in the Czech and Slovak Republic.

BreachGate WebDefend and ModSecurity Pro are next-generation Internet security appliances that provide web application protection to mitigate organisational security challenges such as identity theft, information leakage, regulatory compliance, and insecurely coded applications. Designed to meet the unique security requirements inherent in web applications, WebDefend fills the holes in network-level security by providing customised, behaviour-based application security for large enterprise organisations. ModSecurity offers essential, affordable web application security for small-to-medium organisations looking to remediate targeted application vulnerabilities.
