Bloxx, the enterprise web filtering specialist, has announced that West London law firm Prince Evans has deployed Bloxx Tru-View Technology to limit employees' excessive personal Internet use during business hours and prevent staff from accessing inappropriate web sites.
Established in 1978, Prince Evans is a leading West London law firm based in Ealing, which provides a wide range of services to the public sector, developers and residential/commercial landlords, as well as for the individual.
The company selected Bloxx Tru-View Technology after discovering its numerous features in addition to the core web filtering capabilities, including built-in anti-malware to further protect the network. "I wanted a solution that offered more than just a web filter. Bloxx ticks all the boxes, with anti-phishing and anti-spyware protection as well as excellent web filtering", says Davis.
Prince Evans deployed a Bloxx TVT-100 to monitor and regulate all Internet access in the company. The Bloxx Web Filter is a drop-in appliance which uses the patented Tru-View Technology to analyse and block websites quicker and more accurately than other web filters which rely on manual URL classification and keyword scoring alone.
"Bloxx is an all-in-one appliance which is incredibly easy to administer. It does exactly what it claims to do, but without costing the earth," comments Davis. "The reports I need to ensure employees are not abusing their Internet use are automatically emailed to me each morning so I can gain a clear and up-to-date overview of staff activity levels."
Rather than simply restricting staff Internet use, Bloxx has enabled Prince Evans to widen user Internet access across the company. "We have actually been able to increase staff access to the Internet as we now have the confidence that we have full control over our staff's usage. This means that individuals who originally had no access to the Internet are now able to fully utilise it for work-related research," claims Davis.
"It is fantastic that the full capability of Bloxx is being recognised, in that it's not only a web filtering appliance, but also a means to actually increase safe Internet usage in many situations by enabling companies to proactively manage web access clearly and easily," adds Bloxx Managing Director, Eamonn Doyle. "It can be configured to the needs of any organisation depending on its line of work, as well as its individual users. This eases IT Management and ensures that Internet usage is being regulated and monitored efficiently."
