Birmingham University Hosts Plustek Seminar on Mobile Surveillance

Plustek : 15 February, 2010  (Company News)
Vehicle Security and Surveillance will be under scrutiny at a seminar discussing mobile surveillance technology being hosted by Plustek in conjunction with Axis Communications on 18th February at Birmingham University in the UK
Plustek Technology, a provider of surveillance and imaging solutions, will host its third half-day seminar discussing network security and surveillance with Network Video specialists Axis Communications and others on Thursday 18th February at Birmingham University (9am - 1pm).

Improvements in technologies for recording and transmission have opened up several revenue opportunities for mobile video surveillance devices, especially in the transit bus, police vehicles and rail markets across the world. These technology developments have extended the scope of mobile video surveillance to include monitoring and training drivers to improve performance.

Mobile video surveillance's growing popularity in security and non-security applications presents new opportunities for solution providers. The need for security in public transport systems will offer additional impetus for the uptake of mobile video surveillance technology.

At the event, which is supported by the IP UserGroup and IPfocus Magazine, attendees will gain a better understanding of current and future developments within the field of mobile surveillance. On the day, Plustek, Axis, Wireless Logic and Korenix will provide delegates with an in-depth appreciation of the type of solutions and approaches available to today's security market. All reference materials will be provided on the day along with product demonstrations if necessary.

Registration is from 9am with teas, coffees and pastries. Presentations will run through to midday where delegates can enjoy a buffet and view available solutions.
