See our events guide listing for more details

TranSec World Expo invites readers to pre-register to attend over 25 free-to-attend workshops running on the 3 - 4 June at the RAI in Amsterdam.

Covering the areas of Biometrics, Access Control & ID Programmes, Passenger & Cabin Baggage Screening, Cargo & Hold Baggage Screening and Surveillance & Intrusion Detection, the workshops offer the perfect opportunity to learn about the technology advancements and take part technical discussions.

The Biometrics, Access Control & ID Programmes workshop will run on the 3 June. This workshop remains a vital debating forum. While Biometrics solutions continue to be rolled out in terminals globally, questions still remain over whether these solutions are sufficiently robust for large scale deployment.

The Biometrics, Access Control & ID Programmes Workshop addresses these questions, examines large scale deployment through case studies and looks towards the future of mass transit.

The workshop will also explore a variety of key points from across the transport industry including case studies on: How will e-passports, e-ID's and e-Visa's change the world, Mobile Identity Verification, Using a Biometric Platform to Secure Ports of Entry and Facilitate Travel, Large Scale Card Management, Cost Savings and Increased Passenger Facilitation.

Organisations presenting include: Accenture, Cross Match Technologies, Datastrip, Daon and Alfapass.

In addition to the workshops, TranSec World Expo also features two conferences delivered by leading international speakers from organisations including: European Commission, BAA Airports, Ministry of Transport - Netherlands, International Maritime Organization (IMO), British Transport Police, Transport Security Administration (TSA), Hong Kong International Airport, Frontex Agency, Centre for Naval Analysis, Port of Gothenburg and International Ships Support Group.
