Biometric and RF ID card solutions on show at the Education Show

DataBac Group : 12 February, 2010  (New Product)
Databac is focusing on security in schools at the Education show at the NEC in March with ID Badging solution for time and attendance as well as access control application including fingerprint and palm vein biometrics for additional security
Databac, specialist provider of identification solutions, will show a range of security solutions for nurseries, schools and universities at the Education Show. Among the products on display will be an affordable school ID badging station, both electronic and manual visitor systems, secure logon devices and biometric and RF-based systems for time & attendance and access control.

For instant and easy identification of staff, pupil and visitors, Databac's affordable school ID card printing systems are available from just £795 (€895), including a card printer, software, camera, ribbon and cards. These are already being used successfully in scores of schools in the UK and are ideal for promoting a professional image of any school. The systems can be used with Databac's range of eco-friendly cards, lanyards and card holders.

Databac's electronic visitor systems ensure that visitors sign in and out, as required by the CRB. For smaller schools, manual visitor systems, using visitor books, badges, rewritable cards or time-expiring labels, provide simple, effective solutions.

For those schools that need a card printing service, Databac's bureau can print the cards with a fast turnaround. Databac production staff are all security vetted.

Databac will also demonstrate biometric and RF card-based systems for time & attendance and access control. Databac's security solutions allow the use of a variety of technologies which bring together multiple applications within a single system. In this way, time recording and access control can be integrated with student registration, vending, parking and visitor control.

Secure logon devices are essential in today's schools, with IT-savvy students keen on accessing all the internet has to offer. Visitors to the Databac stand will be able to try out a range of high-tech devices to secure and restrict access to PCs, workstations and networks using fingerprint, chip card and palm vein technology.

Also on display will be Databac's kiosk system programmed as an information station as well as for visitor control. The kiosk will create and issue visitor passes, used for scanning in and out, and will be shown to provide helpful information to visitors, students and teachers alike, on subjects such as health & safety and general school policies.

Databac's full range of cards and card accessories, currently in use at schools worldwide, will also be on display.
