Oki Electric Industry : 23 September, 2008  (New Product)
ATM and banknote recycling equipment from Oki Electric to be demonstrated at the Financial banking technology exhibition in Beijing
Oki Electric Industry will participate in the Chinese International Exhibition on Financial Banking Technology & Equipment 2008 (CIFTEE), which will be held in Beijing from September 25 to 28. As the expert in manufacturing ATMs (Automated teller machines) with deposit and withdrawal functions, OKI will showcase its ATMs, in which sales are expanding in the Chinese market, as well as its products that help improve service and business efficiency in the financial institutions.

"As the leading manufacturer of ATMs, we are excited to showcase our financial solutions at CIFTEE again this year. We have been increasing market share in China and believe our solutions will contribute in the development of China's financial institutions," said Takao Hiramoto, President of Systems Hardware Company at OKI. "We will participate through OKI Electric Industry (Shenzhen), our subsidiary in China, where ATMs and printers are designed, manufactured and sold."

To display OKI's solutions for the Chinese financial institution, OKI's booth will look like a bank's branch office, divided in sections for self service, low counters, VIP room, and backyard. At the self service section, OKI will be exhibiting its ATM21S, a full-spec banknote recycling ATM, a product that includes OKI's long years of track record in the ATM business, and the compact and space-saving ATM, ATM21SX. At the backyard section, CX320, the banknote sorters with excellent operability to help improve backyard business efficiency will be displayed. In addition, at the low-counter and VIP room sections, OKI will display its banknote recycling terminals and bank branch terminals that offer total support to help improve teller efficiency at branch offices.

Major products to be exhibited include:

- Multifunctional ATM "ATM21S"

This is an ATM developed for the Chinese market with a banknote recycling method to significantly improve cash efficiency. It improves operation with capacity to hold up to 14,000 banknotes while maintaining the same width as a cash dispenser, which makes it easy for replacement. This ATM has a 15inch high-definition colour LCD, the largest LCD in the industry that helps users with voice and graphic guidance. ATM21S includes user-friendly display, passbook printing function, and can operate for 24hours.

- Compact ATM, "ATM21SX"

This is an ATM for small and mid-size bank branches or convenience stores with the banknote recycling method. It is 30% smaller than the conventional model with capacity to hold up to 7,000 banknotes. With the industry's largest 15inch high-definition colour LCD, graphics and voice guidance it is a user-friendly ATM that can operate for 24 hours.

- Banknote sorters, "CX320"

This is a high-performance machine that can handle up to four types of different-sized Chinese banknotes. By inserting banknotes together, the CX320 simultaneously examines the banknotes and bundles them in small portions in high speed.

- Banknote recycling terminals

While the height of the terminal is only 680mm in order to fit under the tellers' low counters, the banknote capacity is an industry top, storing up to 13,000 banknotes. The terminal offers a highly reliable cash processing service with OKI's proprietary ATM banknote recycling module that is evaluated highly in the Asian markets.

- Passbook printer "FP21A"

This passbook printer has a wide frontage, which enables users to insert their passbooks from any part of the frontage. It is a small, high-speed printer, which keeps its operating sounds at minimum.
