Avenda Participates in NAC Best Practices Panel at RSA

Avenda Systems : 01 March, 2010  (Company News)
Network Access Control to be the subject of RSA Panel taking place at this week's conference with the involvement of Cisco, Microsoft and Customer Cadence Design Systems from Avenda
Avenda Systems, an innovator in identity-based network security, has announced that Cadence Design Systems was selected to present in a NAC panel discussion hosted by a leading industry analyst at the RSA Conference 2010 next week. Cadence has initiated a world-wide network security infrastructure deployment that utilizes authentication enforcement of both users and devices, thus raising the overall level of access security of the organization at multiple locations. The session, titled "NAC Best Practices Panel" (NMS-303), will take place on March 4th at 10:40 am in the Orange Room 306 at the RSA Conference in San Francisco. According to the session description, Avenda's customer Cadence and another end user will share critical success factors from their NAC implementations, discuss the architecture of the NAC implementations and lessons learned, and explain their choice of NAC technology. Representatives from Cisco and Microsoft will contribute best practices learned from their customers. Avenda's eTIPS policy-based platform provides Cadence the ability to authenticate authorized users and devices while providing an improved level of visibility and control over all access transactions. Any unknown device or those that fall into an unauthorized category will not be allowed to access the network. Central management capabilities enable the IT team to manage and enforce enterprise-wide policies across multiple user locations. While exhibiting at the RSA Conference 2010 in Booth No. 558, Avenda will unveil a new platform release that delivers the latest in identity-aware security; differentiated user access across wired, wireless, and VPN networks; and authentication of managed (computers, Smartphones) and unmanaged (guest laptops, printers) devices. "Our participation at RSA has allowed us to meet some of the best security-focused professionals in the industry," said Krishna Prabhakar, CEO of Avenda. "This interaction during and after the conference has enabled us to deliver the only multi-function NAC solution that includes industry-leading applications for guest access, reporting, and the deployment of 802.1X, which satisfies requirements for many vertical markets. This has led to impressive growth in our customer and reseller base over the past year."
