Authenware : 20 May, 2010  (Company News)
Leader of Keystroke Biometrics company reaches the finals of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year award for 2010
AuthenWare has announced that its CEO Ron Brittian is a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 Award in Florida. According to Ernst & Young, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Mr Brittian was selected as a finalist from nearly 100 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on Thursday, June 10 at the Omni Orlando Resort at Champions Gate.

'It's a tremendous honour to be named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award,' said Ron Brittian, Chairman and CEO of AuthenWare Corporation. 'AuthenWare has emerged as a leader in Keystroke Biometrics security technology, and I am excited to be recognized for our efforts to help companies around the world eradicate cyber theft and secure their systems. The real winners, however, are our fantastic team at AuthenWare, and all of the wonderful people I've had the pleasure of working with over the years.'

As an established entrepreneur, Mr Brittian co-founded and served as CEO for several firms including Citrix Systems and Fuego, a member of the Business Process Management (BPM) software industry. Mr Brittian's professional credentials in the technology sector also include serving as executive vice president with Texas Instruments Software, managing a worldwide $230 million a year business providing software application development tools to worldwide Fortune 1000 companies.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program celebrates its 24th anniversary this year. The program has expanded to recognize business leaders in over 135 cities in 50 countries throughout the world.

Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur of the Year national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 13, 2010. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
