Audio and Video Verification Built Into Alarm Panel

RSI Video Technologies : 19 May, 2011  (New Product)
RSI Video Technologies reveals the XV-IP alarm panel with both IP and GPRS capabilities and with video verification technology built in

The XV-IP is a dual-path (IP + GPRS) alarm panel with built-in audio and video verification. Fully compliant with EN50131, it can handle up to 24 MotionViewer taking a 10 second video clip upon PIR detection. The XV-IP alarm panel is fully integrated into most monitoring softwares like Sentinel or Mastermind.

The XV-IP is an alarm panel with video verification PIR detector interfacing to a monitoring station via Ethernet and GPRS. The panel is fully compliant with EN50131 includes IP connectivity and GPRS back up. It can handle up to 24 two-way wireless detectors including the MotionViewer which takes a 10sec video upon PIR detection. The panel provides intrusion information, video and voice verification to the Monitoring Station by the click of a button since it is fully integrated in ARC monitoring software such as Sentinel, MAS and many others.

RSI Video Technologies is a leader in the wireless video verification alarm system market. 10 years ago it introduced the first wireless alarm system with video verification running 100% on batteries. More recently it brought to the market GPRS connectivity as a mean to transmit the video back to the ARC. With the advent of ADSL and other network capabilities the intruder alarm industry is turning to LAN and broadband for video transmission. In April 2011, RSI Video Technologies released its first IP panel. It also includes GPRS transmission as a backup. This Dual Path security panel can handle 24 MotionViewer which transmit 10sec video upon intrusion detection.

RSI Video Technologies systems are used from residential applications to commercial and outdoor to provide immediate video alarm verification in all types of applications. Designed as a monitored product, the XV-IP complies with all monitoring station verification standards. It brings to the end user the peace of mind of a dual path alarm system with the priority response expected from a verified alarm but without the burden of a costly wired system. The XV-IP can be used both for residential and commercial applications that requires a higher grade of security (dual-path and audio-video alarm verification). Dedicated to facilitate the ARCs’ job, the XV-IP will be introduced to the market through RSI Video Technologies’s network of distributors, installers, and monitoring station partners.

This product is the first wireless video verification IP Panel ever. It incorporates a RSI patented wireless transmitter to accommodate up to 24 MotionViewer. Note that the wireless technology is a unique combination of two-way communication through spread-spectrum radio. It carries both the standard alarm signals and the video in the most secure and reliable way available on the market. It brings to the end user the comfort and the savings of wireless technology with the priority response level provided with video verification without the additional cost of transmission. At the same time, it incorporates the security of a second path of transmission with the GRPS.

The transmission of the alarm and the video is fully synchronized from the detection point. The availability of the video is quasi immediate to the operator as the panel connects to the monitoring station.

This makes video verification as efficient as a standard alarm. It also reduces the transmission cost of video verification to the same level as a standard alarm. Within a few seconds the operator can have both the video of the cause of the alarm and a full-duplex two-way voice challenge on site.

The XV-IP is a game changer in the industry as it makes true audio-video verification an affordable standard for alarm verification, offering major benefits over  traditional “blind” alarm systems relying solely on sequential alarm.
