ASIS convention to feature tamper evidence technology

CGM Applied Security Technologies : 08 April, 2009  (Company News)
CGM-AST Director to speak at convention on the subject of tamper evidence on international cargo shipments
Allied Security Innovations and its wholly owned subsidiary, CGM-AST, announced that Ron Pennington, CGM-AST West Coast Director, is to be honoured as the Featured Speaker at the ASIS International (formerly the American Society for Industrial Security) at their April 8 meeting in Sacramento. He will speak on C-TPAT validation and the value tamper evident technologies bring to the process.

"Ron Pennington has been a welcome addition to our highly professional security team," states Anthony Shupin, CEO. "We are pleased that ASIS has recognized that his experience with CTPAT validation and cargo security will enable their members to benefit from his expertise. CTPAT (Customs Trade Partners Against Terrorism) validation will enable more secure and rapid shipping of their international cargo."

Prior to joining CGM-AST in August of 2008 Ron was the Global Security Manager of Xilinx for 12 years. Pennington was featured in an article describing Xilinx successful C-TPAT validation in the December 2008 issue of Security Management magazine. Xilinx achieved a Tier III validation the first time out, a feat accomplished by only 5% of companies undergoing first time validation.

CGM-AST remains the global leader in Tamper-evident security products including Secure T.R.A.C tapes and seals and other products designed to deter thieves and terrorists from unattended cargo.
