Armed forces access control system demonstration

Intellicheck Mobilisa : 20 May, 2009  (Company News)
Force Protection Equipment Demonstration event to include Defense ID, an advanced access control system for armed forces personnel
Intellicheck Mobilisa will be exhibiting its Defense ID advanced access control system at the Force Protection Equipment Demonstration VII (FPED), in Stafford, Virginia on May 19 through 21, 2009. The Intellicheck Mobilisa booth is located in tent 14-I with demonstration times between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on the three show dates.

In response to acts of terrorism aimed at Department of Defence (DoD) personnel throughout the world in 1996, the then Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff directed that a Force Protection Equipment Demonstration be conducted. The intent of the FPED is to demonstrate, to senior leaders and decision-makers in DoD, state-of-the-art and mature commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) force protection equipment that could serve as materiel solutions to force protection needs.

"We are very pleased to be exhibiting at FPED VII," said Nelson Ludlow, PhD, CEO of Intellicheck Mobilisa. "This showcase allows us to demonstrate the capabilities of Defense ID to senior leaders and decision makers in the Department of Defence. With our recent US Army and Navy ATOs we are confident that this product will be well received and are excited for the opportunity to make the presentation."

Defense ID is an advanced access control system at use at dozens of military and federal secure facilities across the country. Military installations using Defense ID include Fort Belvoir in Virginia, Quantico Marine Corps Base in Virginia, Andrews AFB in Maryland and Bangor Submarine base in Washington State.
