Archive One now available for Domino

C2C Systems : 08 October, 2008  (New Product)
Popular e-mail archive and compliance tool from C2C now available for Lotus Domino.
C2C has announced Archive One for Domino - an exciting extension to their archiving product set.

The key elements to the solution are:.

* Solve capacity problems created by the volume of messages and size of attachments being circulated by users.

* Ensure copies of all mail and calendar items copied from the journal are stored safely for compliance retention.

* Provide search and retrieval for users and eDiscovery for administrators and compliance officers.

* Offer enhanced retention management by ensuring data is destroyed or removed when required.

* Reduce back-up windows by removing large amounts of data from the NSF files and thereby enhancing the user perspective of their solution.

Archive One for Domino provides fully automated data management beyond just archiving to aid capacity, compliance, eDiscovery and retention management of emails from the moment they are received by the Lotus Domino server to the time they are no longer needed.

"With both the number of messages and the size of each message growing at an alarming pace, organizations are eager to find solutions - aside from setting mailbox quotas - that can alleviate the messaging system's burden on storage while also maintaining performance and productivity," said Brian Babineau, senior analyst for the Enterprise Strategy Group. "C2C has developed just this solution with their Archive One for Domino product, which helps organizations control storage costs and administration headaches while ensuring that business-critical information is always safely protected and instantly retrievable."

The advanced automated rule set of Archive One allows an operator without daily intervention to provide corporate wide management of all data. Data can be searched for and retrieved by users, administrators or compliance officers according to permissions, either from within the product or through one of the latest search solutions such as Google Enterprise Server or Microsoft Search Server 2008.

For those users running both Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino will be able to store the archived data in a single repository so as they make a transition from one to the other, they will always have availability of archived data.

"Archive One solves three key problems facing organizations using Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino as their main email and calendaring solution," said Dave Hunt, CEO at C2C. "It provides critical Information Retention Management that allows organizations to meet regulatory obligations, to be prepared for eDiscovery and avoid having too much data on Domino servers. Archive One helps organization both large and small reduce their costs, control risks and increase productivity through a totally intuitive and familiar interface that incorporates all the advanced features for effectively working with data from Notes and Domino."

Archive One supports Lotus Domino Messaging Server, Lotus Domino Enterprise Server, Lotus Domino Express Release V7.x and V8.x and Domino on any supported OS and will be available through C2C's channel of top systems integrators and VARs. Pricing is based on the number of users.
