Anti terrorism training at GPEC Munich

HMS : 15 May, 2008  (New Product)
Weapons Intelligence Team Training available from HMS at their stand at the General Police Equipment Exhibition and Conference in June
HMS will be exhibiting its renowned Triton intelligence reports and weapons intelligence team (WIT) training at the General Police Equipment Exhibition and Conference (GPEC) in Munich, the specialist trade fair for organisations offering police equipment, security technology and related services which runs from 3-5 June.

Visitors to the stand will be able to discuss emerging trends in terrorist technologies and tactics and learn how Triton reports and WIT training can aid the police and emergency services in their efforts to counter such developments. Visitors will also be able to experience first-hand HMS representatives' vast expertise in high-threat scenarios.

Triton reports are prepared using HMS's Triton database, the world's largest open source database of contemporary terrorist incidents. Around 2,500 terrorist and related incidents are input into Triton each month, containing in-depth technical and tactical details of events occurring around the world. This data is manipulated and assessed by HMS technical analysts to produce intelligence that identifies emerging trends in terrorist technologies, compares global developments in IEDs and identifies future threats. Delegates will be able to see hard copies of various reports from the Triton subscription, a service that is revered worldwide by clients working in military, government, law enforcement and commercial organizations; with the flagship monthly Triton Report considered the definitive IED threat report.

HMS WIT training develops the skills of EOD operatives or investigators so that they can proficiently examine post-incident IED scenes. Each IED incident leaves valuable forensic evidence that can be used to enhance knowledge and understanding of terrorist techniques and tactics. Delegates can talk to HMS about their training needs and explore a demo WIT training kit, complete with investigative cameras, x-ray equipment and forensic tools.
