Cash transfer system integrated with audio and speech system enabling secure transactions at cash handling customer service desks.
Anti bandit audio tray for banks and customer service desks.
Apex Audio has introduced a new Ballistic Audio Tray. This is one of the first such products to be independently certified to the latest European and British standards, including BSEN 1522-1999 and BSEN 1523-1999. It will significantly enhance the safety and security of staff working in customer facing applications, particularly where the handling of cash is a major part of the job. The tray also can cost significantly less than traditional solutions.

Tested to FSG(MS) and FB4(MS) standards, Apex Audio's new Ballistic Audio Tray comprises a single integrated unit incorporating a fully duplex speech system, induction loop and cash transfer system. It is compatible with any brand of anti-bandit or ballistic screen and offers the most secure system currently available. Constructed using 6mm steel for maximum strength with stainless steel external finish, it has a high quality and robust finish that will stand up to use in the most demanding environments.

The tray has already been endorsed by leading installation companies including Kilby & Gayford Shopfitting and Hadrian Security Shopfitting Ltd whose Managing Director Kevin Justice commented: "This new Ballistic Audio Tray is built to the same standards as our Hadrian Defender security screens and will make a major contribution towards helping increase the safety of staff working in front line environments."

The built in microphones and speakers deliver a higher sound quality than traditional tray systems to make customer interactions easier and more natural. The built-in induction loop is positioned to provide optimum effectiveness for every transaction and enables organisations to comply with the requirements of the Disability and Discrimination Act (DDA) at every position. This will deliver higher levels of customer service to hearing aid wearers who will no longer have to wait for a DDA position to become vacant.

According to Mike Elford, director of Apex Audio: "Organisations have a duty of care to ensure the safety and security of their staff at all times in the face of increasing levels of violence. We are proud of the fact that this is the first tray that includes all our speech and loop equipment to pass all independent testing, which provides an assurance of quality and the highest levels of protection to staff at all times."

The installation process is faster and easier than traditional trays as the tray simply drops into a pre-cut counter and can even be fitted at the factory. The adjustments to the audio setting are thoroughly explained in the detailed instructions. The tray is then simply plugged in and is ready for work.

Apex Audio has designed this new ballistic tray to be quick and easy to maintain. Individual components, including the robust and durable polycarbonate slider in the top of the tray, can be replaced without having to dismantle the counter or remove the screen - a common problem with traditional trays. This reduces downtime for individual positions and ensures that the maximum number of staff are available to serve customers at any time.

As well as meeting the needs of organisations handling cash transactions with the public, Apex Audio's new tray will protect staff operating in other environments including hospital pharmacies, social services, passport and immigration offices, etc.
