Advance biometric data capture system recognised in Defence awards

Cross Match Technologies : 05 February, 2009  (New Product)
NCW award received by Cross Match Technologies in recognition of the company's work on Mission Oriented Biometric Software
Cross Match Technologies, a global provider of biometric identity solutions, has been recognised by the Institute for Defence and Government Advancement (IDGA) as a winner of a Network Centric Warfare (NCW) Award. The honour was announced at the NCW Awards Ceremony and Dinner, during the Network Centric Warfare 2009 conference in Washington, DC on January 28th.

The NCW Award program was established to honour, recognise and promote initiatives in the US defence industry, which exemplify the principles of network-centric operations. As a recipient of the Outstanding Industry Achievement Award, Cross Match is recognised as a premiere defence industry partner, working in tandem with government organizations to provide a strategic, tactical advantage through the use of the company's Mission Oriented Biometric Software (MOBS).

MOBS enables intelligent biometric data capture with user-defined, mission-specific, functionality. It is extremely user friendly, standards based and fully interoperable with all DOD ABIS compliant systems. As an integral part of Cross Match's advanced biometric data capture systems, MOBS brings multi-modal capability to automatically capture fingerprints, facial and iris images. With this technology, users can streamline application enrolment and criminal booking procedures, which is paramount in high risk environments, such as designated hot zones or areas of civil unrest.

'MOBS sets new standards for excellence and embodies the best in network-centric data capture technology,' says Jim Grau, president and CEO at Cross Match Technologies. 'We relied on input from our customers when developing MOBS--highlighting our commitment to helping them achieve their business goals. It is an honour to receive IDGA's NCW Award for Outstanding Industry Achievement for 2009, which showcases our leading position in biometric technology development.'
