ADT To Supply Security Services In New Jersey

ADT Security Service (USA) : 10 February, 2011  (Application Story)
Public service companies in the US State of New Jersey will receive equipment installation and servicing from ADT for security systems such as access control systems and surveillance cameras
ADT Security Services has announced that the state of New Jersey has joined a four-year cooperative procurement agreement with the National Joint Powers Alliance, serviced by ADT, which will allow state and municipal agencies, school districts and public colleges and universities to satisfy competitive bid requirements to directly purchase security services and equipment from ADT.

The contract covers services and equipment such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, intrusion detection and fire alarm systems, burglar alarms, wireless transmission networks, central station monitoring and system maintenance and equipment repair.

The costs of equipment and services will be set by New Jersey’s membership with the NJPA, a non-profit government agency which establishes and provides nationally leveraged and competitively solicited cooperative contracts for municipal government, educational and non-profit agencies across many industries in all 50 states and Canada.

Mike Hajek, NJPA’s director of business development and marketing, said ADT is the group’s sole provider of security systems and services.

“Our members can have confidence that our bid processes are open to all responsible parties and that no one is excluded from participating,” he said. “ADT will offer New Jersey public agencies added value from its decades of extensive security experience integrating the latest technologies. It is a perfect fit for this contract.”

As an added value, Daniel Schroeder, ADT’s vice president of commercial sales, said the state and its agencies receive the liability protection benefits of ADT’s SAFETY Act certification and designation by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

ADT serves state and local government agencies in all 50 states, as well as more than 15,000 K-12 grade schools and 1,350 college and university campuses.
