ACPO Licence For Protect's Fog Cannon

Protect Global UK : 07 February, 2011  (New Product)
Protect Global UK has attended the Secured By Design conference at which the company received an ACPO licence for the Fog Cannon product for protecting property against burglary
Fog Cannon by Protect recently attended the Association of Chief Police Officers ‘Secured by Design’ 2011 CPDA Training conference in Manchester.  “We have just been awarded the ACPO licence for our products and were thrilled to gain exhibition space at this conference” says Matthew Robinson Protect UK Manager.

Over 150 delegates attended the three day conference that dealt primarily with business crime, the costs to society and prevention methods.  Domestic crime and an Olympic update and intense workshops were also on the agenda.

The conference gave police officers an ideal opportunity to share best practice methods and find out the latest crime prevention products.

Matthew Robinson and his team were able to engage with the people at the coal face of crime prevention.   “There was a high level of interest in the ‘Fog Cannons’ ability to push the burglar out of the building within seconds preventing any further loss of stock and property damage.” And Matthew continues:

“The police officers quickly recognised how much more effective ‘Fog Cannon’ was compared to our competitors.”

Matthew Robinson received many invitations to attend other training events around the UK from the delegates.  “It is important to the police to be able to recommend a product that does what it says on the tin” says Barry Harper a retired Nottinghamshire Police officer of thirty years.  “The police are keen to prevent burglary happening in the first instance because this reduces trauma to the business and home owner. Plus it reduces the pressure on the police force as a whole.”

There were a number of Architect Liaison Officers at the conference keen for Protect to demonstrate the ‘Fog Cannon’ to their contacts in the building industry.

“We feel that ‘Fog Cannon’ is now well and truly implanted into the minds of the police officers dealing with Crime Prevention.”  And Matthew continues: “We knew we were onto a winner when three Health and Safety Executives were enthusiastic about the product!”

Winning product

“This is a very exciting time for ‘Fog Cannon’ because we are winning contracts away from our competitors and sales are rocketing away. After this conference we feel confident that ‘Fog Cannon’ will be highly recommended across the UK by the Police Crime Prevention teams.”
