HID Global : 13 September, 2011  (Company News)
The iClass SE range of access control products from HID Global takes an ISIS security award for 2011
Access Control Platform Takes ASIS Award
HID Global's new iCLASS SE family of products has been selected by the ASIS International organization as a winner of the 2011 ASIS Accolades – Security’s Best competition. Judges representing a cross-sector of end-users and technology experts evaluated more than 70 entries before selecting HID Global’s next generation  iCLASS SE platform as one of the most innovative new solutions for 2011.

“HID Global is very proud to have our groundbreaking iCLASS SE access control platform recognized by one of the most respected organizations in the security industry,” said Tony Ball, senior vice president of Identity Access Management with HID Global. “This ASIS Accolades award is further validation of our industry leadership and innovation, which continues to drive the industry and redefine the delivery of secure identity.”

HID Global’s iCLASS SE platform marks an important milestone in how secure identity is delivered and managed by introducing technology-independent digital credentials that can be deployed for use on smart phones, microprocessor-based cards, contactless smart cards, USB tokens and related devices.

The platform includes credentials and readers based on a combination of Secure Identity Object (SIO) technology on the credential side and the SIO Processor on the reader side that perform similar functions to traditional cards and readers, except they use a standards-based and flexible identity data model that provide a new level of security, portability and performance.

HID Global will demonstrate its broad portfolio of physical and logical access control products and secure issuance solutions, technologies and partnerships at Booth #2400 at the Orange County Convention Center, September 19 - 22. In addition, representatives from ASSA ABLOY, Arizona State University, HID Global and BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion (RIM) will be speaking about this new platform at ASIS.
