Abloy Offers Mix And Match Flexibility on EffEff Door Hardware

Abloy Security : 21 January, 2011  (New Product)
The Profix II range from EffEff is available from Abloy UK with the ability to mix and match strikes and faceplates to meet the specific requirements of individual doors
Abloy UK, the sole distributor of EffEff products in the UK, is offering increased flexibility with the new Profix II product range, by offering the strikes and faceplates separately according to function.

For the first time, EffEff customers have the opportunity to match the faceplate and choose the function required to suit individual door requirements, with the new Profix II range offering 12 strikes and six plates with a possible 72 different combinations.

Profix II has been launched with the latest EffEff technology available in the full product line from the basic entry level 118.13 fail secure standard strike to the 332.238 fail safe emergency exit with faceplates to suit all door materials.

Easy to fit, the multifunctional new Profix II range means less cutting and removes the need to cut-out from the leading edge of the doorframe, meeting architects’ demands for a more aesthetic finish.

Says Steve Martin of Abloy UK: “At Abloy UK, we had to think smarter and more innovatively, as we wanted a simpler and more harmonised route to market for the new Profix II range. This was key, as was keeping the EffEff customer at the core of what we do.

“By offering the face plates and strikes separately, but still with a full line available, the customer has the chance to formulate their own combinations to suit different applications.  This makes it easy to stock just the essentials and then order specific components to suit individual door applications.  Together with the benefits of the product, this will certainly improve any doorframe finish from a quality and aesthetic perspective.”

Strikes are available as standard 118 (fail secure), 128 (holding pin) and 138 (fail safe), with fire rated options 143 and 143M (motor version) together with 332 for emergency exits.

All faceplates are available for wooden frames at 44mm and 54mm and together with steel frames are offered with or without dead bolt cutouts. The fail locked versions are dual voltage with no need to specify a 12 or 24 voltage.

Manufactured to the highest quality specifications in Germany by Abloy UK’s sister company, ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH, the EffEff range is guaranteed by a five year warranty.

In addition, all EffEff products are fully supported by the expertise of the Abloy UK team, providing technical support and advice, service and after sales care.
