500 Cloud Service Providers Now Using Ping Identity Access Control Solutions

Ping Identity : 06 August, 2010  (Application Story)
Ping Identity reaches customer milestone with SaaS vendors offering Cloud Computing services globally chooses to protect access to their resources with PingFederate and PingConnect
Ping Identity has surpassed 500 customers worldwide using its Cloud Identity Security solutions to improve productivity and reduce the risk of unauthorized access to Internet based applications. With more companies moving their business applications to the Cloud, Ping Identity's customer base has grown rapidly in the last 12 months and now includes more than 30 of the Fortune 100 and more than 175 SaaS and BPO providers.

Ping Identity is seeing similar growth in its partner efforts. Its SaaS Partner Program now has more than 100 members, each member using and recommending Ping to their enterprise customers. Ping has reseller and referral agreements with 38 Cloud Integrators worldwide and continues to build on technology relationships with ArcSight, Salesforce, Google, and others.

Security requirements and greater efficiency in the Cloud are driving more businesses to choose Ping. A recent TechValidate survey of Ping customers found that 51% of Ping Identity's customers purchased PingFederate to secure access to SaaS and other external applications. 37% said they use Ping to provide customers and vendors with access to Internet-based applications without managing third party identities and passwords and 10% said they are using Ping to meet an internal mandate for no passwords in the Cloud.

"We're using PingFederate today to support 1,200 CRM users with easy, Single Sign-On access from their desktops, mobile devices and Web browsers," said Paul Chemmanoor, CTO for Corporate Executive Board. "PingFederate makes Salesforce CRM easier for our users and administrators. And, with Ping Identity's dedication to advancing products' capabilities to meet growing Cloud IT requirements, it's nice to know that we have the flexibility to expand our SSO capabilities across all of our Internet-based applications and the option to expand our use of Salesforce as our business requirements evolve."

Ping Identity's on premise software (PingFederate) and on-demand service (PingConnect) deliver Internet SSO and Internet User Account management that help increase SaaS user adoption and productivity, save administrative time and cost, and strengthen security. PingFederate boasts a 98% satisfaction rate among users and 66% say they completed their first implementation in two weeks or less.

"Having worked so hard with our customers to define an identity security model for the future, it's quite an honor to see these companies achieve their business goals with Ping as their partner," said Ping Identity CEO Andre Durand. "We still have work to do, but the foundation for a secure Cloud via identity is being set."
