2009 Growth Puts AccessData Ahead for Computer Forensics

AccessData : 22 February, 2010  (Company News)
Investigative Technology investments and strong sales of Enterprise, eDiscovery and Sentinel put digital forensics company AccessData in a leading position at the end of 2009
AccessData has announced that it became the world's largest forensics software company in 2009. While it is impossible to be 100% certain of the sales for all companies in this market, it appears clear from public disclosures and analyst reports that AccessData is, in fact, the largest provider in this market. "This is a huge positive for AccessData and validation of our strategy to continue to focus on computer forensics as our core market. Three years ago, AccessData was a relatively well known but small company. But by staying focused on forensics and ramping up our development efforts to bring truly new and advanced capabilities to the market, we have experienced explosive growth and are now in a clear leadership position," said Tim Leehealey, CEO of AccessData.

AccessData's focus on the computer forensics market has not come at the expense of its other markets. Instead, it has enhanced its position in other markets. By investing heavily in investigative technologies, AccessData has created solutions that not only dominate the law enforcement forensics market, but that have also gained phenomenal traction in commercial and federal markets.

AccessData Enterprise, AccessData eDiscovery and SilentRunner Sentinel are fast becoming the industry standards. With more than 100 enterprise installations and 12 competitive displacements, 2009 was a great year for AccessData's enterprise-class products as well.

'2010 is set to be another very positive year for AccessData with the release of more groundbreaking capabilities and the expansion of our product portfolio. It is our hope that with continued focus on delivering easy-to-use, scalable and comprehensive solutions, we will not only extend our leadership position, but also broaden the market itself,' said Leehealey.
