2007 represented a Milestone year for Ipswitch

Ipswitch : 11 March, 2008  (Company News)
With continued success of WS_FTP Server and high growth for WhatsUp Gold, Ipswitch managed significant revenue growth in fiscal 2007.
Ipswitch has announced that revenue increased by 12% year on year in 2007; to the highest level in its 16 year history. Revenue figures were buoyed by a 26% sales growth in its flagship network monitoring product WhatsUp Gold, along with new versions of the world's most popular FTP solution WS_FTP Server and Ipswitch's messaging solution IMail.

In the UK, sole Ipswitch distributor Computerlinks celebrated a 30% growth for 2007. "The Ipswitch and Computerlinks partnership is both longstanding and highly successful," enthused Computerlinks Product Manager, Carly Loveday. "The Ipswitch product range has developed from products that enabled small to medium businesses to get onto and utilise the Internet, to market-leading solutions that provide the highest levels of security."

In April, Ipswitch announced the availability of IMail Server 2006.2, continuing the Ipswitch tradition of building software products that are easy to use, require little or no IT administration and that deliver a clear and rapid return on investment (ROI). The importance of a secure email server was highlighted a few months later when Ipswitch's popular Spamometer revealed that 95% of all email received is spam, the highest rate since recording began. This figure compared with 93% the previous quarter and only 70% over the same period in 2006.

Ipswitch WS_FTP Server 6 and Ipswitch WS_FTP Server 6 with SSH were launched in June. The enhanced and expanded WS_FTP Server delivers industry-leading security, auditing, high-availability and remote administration capabilities, all of which are vital to organisations seeking to protect data, audit file transfers and automate file transfer processes.

In October, Ipswitch announced it had achieved a corporate philanthropic milestone by reaching one million dollars in giving since the company was founded nearly 16 years ago. Ipswitch's international community-based initiatives include collaboration with Computerlinks in the UK to support Save the Children UK, CARE in Ecuador to support the Youth for Life Program, Infinigate Deutschland in Germany to support Plan International and IPvista in France to support L'enfant Bleu-Enfance Maltraite.

Also in October, Eurotunnel - operators of the famous Channel Tunnel rail link between England and France - revealed it has purchased multiple copies of Ipswitch's WhatsUp Gold to provide 24/7 monitoring of its integral new network. Live, backup and development copies of the popular network monitoring tool were installed to provide non-stop monitoring of critical network equipment and key nodes in the network such as the automatic tolls at each end of the tunnel.

In November the company announced the immediate availability of WhatsUp Gold Distributed Edition. The new version of its flagship software solution offers businesses an easy-to-use, easy-to-deploy, centralised network monitoring solution for organisations of up to 1,000 employees that are challenged by geographically dispersed operations and limited IT staff.

"2007 marked our 16 successive year of revenue growth, which can be directly attributed to the expansion of our product portfolio and the dedication and expertise of our global distribution channel," explains Ipswitch founder and CEO Roger Green. "In addition, the milestone of reaching $1 million of corporate philanthropic giving is something we have been striving for since our inception was an obvious highlight of the year."
