16 megapixel camera with near infrared sensitivity available from KCL

Kane Computing : 17 November, 2008  (New Product)
High definition imaging with power over Ethernet and near infrared sensitivity encompassed in latest Avigilon camera available through Kane Computing
Kane Computing (KCL) have recently added the latest Avigilon high definition professional IP cameras to their range of video security products.

These high definition cameras, up to 16 Mpixels, capture high quality detailed images, equivalent to 50 PAL cameras in one camera, which can be recorded with no loss of data, as a result of using JPEG2000 compression technology and High Definition Stream Management (HDSM) utilising dynamic bandwidth control.

The cameras offer Near Infrared (NIR) sensitivity to see beyond human vision at night and maximize image performance when used with IR illuminators. A wide dynamic range helps to capture scenes in both very bright and dark areas.

Power-over Ethernet (PoE) means no external power is required and Stop Action Electronic Shutter allows sharp images of moving objects to be captured. Auto iris/focus control and Pan and Tilt control are also supported. Built in Motion detection is also available.

The standard range, based on CMOS sensors, include 1, 2, 3 and 5 Mpixel versions. The Pro range using CCDs offer 2, 4.2, 11 and 16 Mpixel versions and are ideal for low light work or to monitor fast moving objects.

"I am very impressed with the comprehensive display software" said Richard White, Managing Director of KCL. "The ability to create different displays of different parts of the same image and zoom in or out of each section individually is very powerful".

KCL have created a DVD with Avigilon player/display software, sample footage, data sheets, user guides and tools for potential users to try before they buy. This is available on request via the web site www.kanecomputing.co.uk or by emailing sales@kanecomputing.com.

Other complimentary Avigilon products include High Definition Network Video Recorders and JPEG2000 video encoders for use with existing standard analogue cameras to integrate into the display system or a multi-camera Network Video Recorder.
