10G Ethernet encryptor on show at AFCEA West

SafeNet : 05 February, 2009  (New Product)
Armed forces conference chosen by SafeNet to reveal its latest 10G Ethernet encryptor for large volume sensitive data transmission security
SafeNet will participate in The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) West conference in San Diego, CA, February 11-13, 2009.

SafeNet will unveil the new 10G Ethernet Encryptor, now available to the United States government, and will be showcasing its complete portfolio of information security solutions in Booth 403 during AFCEA West.

Government agencies, departments, and contractors can transmit large volumes of sensitive data over high-speed Ethernet WANs that connect offices, data centers, and disaster recovery sites. The SafeNet Ethernet Encryptor 10G enables high-speed core networks to be easily secured with minimal administrative and network overhead. Designed to support the growing movement towards these Ethernet services, the Ethernet Encryptor secures sensitive data more efficiently than higher layer protocols, thereby lowering the cost of network security and compliance.

"Government agencies need a superior solution for protecting data in transit over the WAN," adds Joe Moorcones, chief technology officer, SafeNet. "SafeNet is the world's only provider of a complete portfolio of Ethernet security solutions, including 10Gbps network encryption appliances for government organisations."

AFCEA West is co-sponsored by AFCEA International and the US Naval Institute. It is the largest event on the West Coast for communications, electronics, intelligence, information systems, imaging, military weapon systems, aviation, shipbuilding, and more. Military and industry leaders will designate warfighting strategies and operational platforms.
