Security Products Guide awards Accellion for best security solution in two categories for its secure file transfer virtual appliance |
|
Accellion has announced that Info Security Products Guide, the industry's leading publication for security-related products and technologies, has named Accellion the winner of the 2009 Global Product Excellence Awards. Accellion's Secure File Transfer Virtual appliance was awarded Best Security Solution for both Government and Education categories. These awards recognize Accellion for providing the highest level of data security to government agencies and educational facilities as they share information electronically.
The Accellion Secure File Transfer solution allows enterprises and government agencies to securely send and receive large email attachments (files and folders up to 20GB) without touching an email server. Its easy-to-use interface ensures high end user adoption rates, removing the temptation to use un-secure IT workarounds for greater tracking and control. To meet regulatory compliance requirements, it provides automated download receipts, file auditing and tracking capabilities.
"In an interconnected world, threats have no boundaries and security has to remain a prime requirement," says Rake Narang, editor-in-chief of Info Security Products Guide. "We are pleased to honor Accellion as winner for 2009."
"We are honoured the Accellion Secure File Transfer Virtual appliance has been recognized by Info Security Products Guide as the best security product for government agencies and educational institutions," said Yorgen Edholm, president and CEO, Accellion. "As enterprises and government agencies search for a way to safely send and receive large files, we are committed to providing them with a means that is easy-to-use while meeting the strictest security and compliance mandates. Continued recognition from Info Security Products Guide validates our efforts and achievements in this space."
