Voice over IP security feature now included in eSoft network security firewall.
eSoft has announced the next firmware release for its InstaGate security gateway, which includes new capabilities such as multiple NAT modes, Voice over IP (VoIP) security, Quality of Service (QoS) and dual-WAN failover.Greater Flexibility, Optimal Security InstaGate security gateways now offer increased flexibility with NAT options such as the ability to customise firewall NAT (Network Address Translation) policies, which allows customers the flexibility to fit the appliance into any network environment. For the increasing number of organisations deploying VoIP solutions, the InstaGate appliances support SIP and H.323 protocols and detect VoIP attacks for more advanced security. InstaGate provides QoS, allowing IT managers to prioritise traffic and employ bandwidth management according to network, IP, protocol, or port for more control of network resources. Additional features include support for dual WAN connections, the ability to schedule automatic updates, notification for automated system backups and more. These new features are all about offering flexibility to our customers so that the InstaGate supports any network configuration and provides the best security possible, said Rob Peterson, Senior Product Line Manager at eSoft.
